Long overdue update & random thoughts

Plus, someone has been "nudging" me to post. :)

I think I should have spent more time imagining my wedding when I was younger. Maybe planning it would be easier now.

Rob just quit his job to take another one, because his boss was a jerk and the industry wasnt what he wanted to do anyways. He gave his 2 weeks notice last week. Then the new company flew him to their headquarters last week, and it turned out the new job wasn't really going to be great either, and it is in the same industry. Then this week, the old company decided they didnt really want him finishing out the 2 weeks, and sent him home.

I am still loving the landfill business, but I am getting kind of tired of sitting in my office by myself, especially on days when I have a lot of questions, or have finished my stuff and am not sure what to do. This is especially annoying on days my boss is in the field, or gave himself the afternoon off, or decided to work from home after his doctor's appointment, or whatever. And especially when, at the same time, my boss in Diamond Bar is out of his office, or really busy and not responding to my emails or able to answer his phone. Not that I have been that successful learning things over the phone or via email.

Which brings me to the wedding info. We have our church here in Roseville reserved for July 21, 2007. The church is really pretty, but the other main reason we chose to have it here was because we lived here, and figured it would be easiest to plan that way. But, now Rob is looking for a new job (and one he really wants this time), and I am wondering if I would be a more useful employee at one of my company's other offices (Diamond Bar or Phoenix). (If Rob found his dream job somewhere else, I would be willing to move another place, but I'd like to stay with my company if I could since they have been really nice and do cool stuff). Also, we never actually wanted to move to Rob's hometown, but it seemed the best choice at the time. So now we have decided to be very open to moving somewhere else. Which would make getting married here no longer convenient at all. So, now we are looking into having the wedding in Tucson, since wherever we move, my family will still be in Tucson to help plan things. Because we want the Newman priests to perform the ceremony, we are limited to having it July 21 or June 9th. Neither are great days for Tucson or Sacramento, but June 9th would definitely be prefered for Tucson, since July days are either 110 degrees or a monsoon day. And while I love monsoons, I do not want it to rain on my wedding day. And although it would be nice to have the wedding in our future city of residence, we have no idea where that would be or if we would move - in 1 month or 6 months or never. And we don't want to delay the wedding, plus it was hard enough to coordinate those 2 dates with the priests.

So, that is our new dilemma. Brilliant solutions welcome.
